Configuring MS Outlook 2011 for Mac for Use with Office 365 Here below are listed the steps to take in order to configure MS Outlook 2011 for Mac for use with 365 in Exchange mode. The guide has been tested working on Mac OS X 10.6 ( Snow Leopard ) and 10.7 ( Lion ). If this is the first account you're creating in Outlook 2011, under Add an Account, click Exchange Account. If you've previously created an email account for a different email address, in the lower corner of the Accounts dialog box, click, and then click Exchange. ![]() ![]() Add Your Yahoo Account to Outlook 2011 Mac Using IMAP To set up your Outlook 2011 client to work with Yahoo: • Open Microsoft Office Outlook 2011. If you have just installed Outlook 2011 it will show in your Dock. • If you see a Welcome to Outlook screen, click Add Account. Otherwise click Tools > Accounts > Add Accountfrom the Apple Menu bar. • Click E-mail Account. • Now we need to manually enter in our settings similar to the following. • Enter your email address, password and user name. • Select IMAP for type • Incoming server: imap.mail.yahoo.com / Either 993 (ssl) or 143 (very infrequently 585 (ssl)) • Outgoing server: smtp.mail.yahoo.com / Either 25 or 465 (ssl) (very infrequently 2525) • Click Add Account • Click More Options. • Use Incoming server info for Authentication • Click OK If you've entered everything in correctly, task will be completed successfully and you can close out of the window and begin using your account via Outlook 2011 mac. Import your old POP account into the newly created IMAP account If you currently keep a copy of your mail on the server, then you're done! But if you delete them from the server, then you have to import your old POP mail into your IMAP. Here's how to do it • Click the Tools tab • Click Import • Click Outlook Data File (.pst or.olm), and then click the right arrow to continue. • Select (.pst) or (.olm) Browse, your backup (.pst) or (.olm) file to import • Done • Now you can check your back up data on outlook • And the very important thing is you have to disable your old POP account from the Outlook, Otherwise they will continue to receive email in the old POP account. • Go to Account settings • Delete your old pop account Setting up your Sent folder properly • From the Accounts window, select Advanced. • Click Folders. • From the Sent drop-down, select Sent Mail (Server). URL: Outlook 2016 supports Exchange 2010 or higher version. Outlook 2019 supports Exchange 2013 or higher version. Note: Outlook for Mac is supported on the three most recent versions of macOS. When a new version of macOS is released, the Office 2019 for Mac Operating System requirements are updated such that the three most recent versions are supported: the new version of macOS and the two previous versions. Read the Knowledge Base article on for more information. • Open Outlook and navigate to Menu Bar > Tools > Accounts • In the Accounts window, click the + sign in the lower left-hand corner and click New Account • In the new window, enter the email address and click Continue • In case server settings were not found automatically, Outlook will ask about email provider. For Exchange account select Exchange, for Office 365 choose Office365.
• In the new window, fill in the following fields: • Method: select Username and Password. • E-mail address: enter primary email address (UPN) for your Exchange mailbox. • User name: e nter your primary email address. • Password: enter your mailbox password. • Server: only fill in the server if there is no for your domain. To find out the correct server name, navigate to HostPilot速 Control Panel > Home > Exchange servers and settings > Exchange proxy setting. Use it to create server name of the format: where west.exchXXX.serverdata.net is your Exchange Proxy Setting and west.
